Jaxar never knew Mirror — the Aether who had found him as an egg — as she had perished while protecting the clan's nesting grounds. The Ivywraith at the time had still been young and vulnerable, making them a prime target for raiders. He cares for her memory through stories and starsong, knowing her spirit lives on and that they may meet again on some beautiful, bitter-sweet night.

He possesses the extraordinary ability to interpret the cosmic language written in the heavens. Not only does he hold an immense knowledge of astrology, understanding the movements of the moon, stars, and planets, but he also acts as an oracle — able to peer deep into the fabric of time and space, discerning hidden truths and ancient prophecies. Dragons who seek wisdom from him don't look for mundane answers, but ask for deeper truths about their destinies, their relationships with others and the universe, and the cycles that govern the world. His knowledge is unparalleled — only matched by the labyrinthian library within The Spire.

The answers he provides to questions often require deep contemplation to understand and decipher. They're often layered or delivered in the form of visions or dreams. The advice offered is not typically based on practicality or reason, always lending to the supernatural influences that guide his wisdom. His words are not always benevolent. Some destinies are dark and an individual may find themself trapped in a reality they didn't wish to hear. A kingdom may fall, a hero may fail, or hidden danger might be looming around the corner. Jaxar speaks truth, but it is up to those who seek his counsel to navigate the consequences of that truth.

He speaks softly and his scales shimmer like the dawn stars. With eyes shining like pools of deep, endless constellations, many believe him to be a much older entity than he appears to be. Considering his star-born nature, even Oryx finds it hard to deny that Jaxar could be the reincarnation of an ancient, vast wealth of celestial knowledge.
