"I...never expected this."
Vivace is the oldest dragon in Rubylight Keep. He was here when it was known as the Rubywater Depths- Taken in by the wings of first lairkeepers when it was a simple water territory.
He was once a thief, a wandering Mirror, with no place to come home.
Rubywater accepted him, he choose to settle down, becoming a simple merchant and selling stolen wares.
One day the lair attracted a foul dragon- one that turned all of Rubywaters residents into monsters, he was a scientist, a dragon who studied the foul and wicked, a dragon who studied all beasts alike.
From that day onward, Rubywater Depths became an attraction for all things you would not expect to be real.
That event marked the end of any shred of piece the scientist didnt destroy, being not only an attractant to monsters, but a water lair, provided a shroud for the most foul dragons.
The Sisterhood they called themselves.
They could hardly be called dragons, you couldn't compare them to the other creatures that inhabited the lair, no, they were far worse.
They were true demons, twisted and powerful, they worked together to slowly try and bring the world to ruin, they enslaved the creatures in Rubywater Depths, using them as pawns for their own foul plans.
Anyone who didn't listen to them was slaughtered mercilessly, Vivace wasn't stupid. He was far from the other monstrosities in the lair, but he provided his theifing skills and proved useful to survive.
He suddenly became more than a merchant, he got into the gritty part of the 'marketworld', he sold everything devious, parts of executed members, talismans of shade magic, potions that could kill an imperial with a single drop, oh he sold everything he could get his claws on! And with the help of The Sisterhood he was able to do it easily.
He was never proud of his work, despite his smile and jokes, his work left a feeling of heavy in his heart, his claws felt...dirtied. Wrong.
One day The Sisterhood was found out, a mirror, son of The Lightweaver, so blessed that his wings were made of silken light, came into Rubywater, he did what no one thought he could do.
He freed it.
There was a lot of blood that day- Dragons who were forced under the sisters rule saw this as a chance to be freed and formed a rebellion.
Using their help, the Lightborn dragged the lairs residents out of their watery shroud and brought them to lands filled with warm light and white stoned ruins- The land of The Lightweaver.
This Mirror...he couldn't destroy the sisterhood, that would be a feat too much.
Instead he sealed away everyone. He made a dungeon and claimed leadership.
It was from that day fourth Rubywater Depths became Rubylight Keep.
Vivace was sealed away with them, for his theiving, for his relation to the Black Market. He found it odd- everyone else was put away for being a danger to the world, he wasnt dangerous in the slightest.
Even the Ice Sister was freed, the new watcher over the prison.
Time made it clear why he was sealed away.
It was all planned.
Two of the sisters, despite being sealed deep down the dungeon, had sacrificed themselves to become one- a twisted shape of plague and shadow, an entity of bitterness and hatred.
They wanted to escape.
They tried, they took dragons with them, The Ice Sister took sacrifices, reducing herself to a mere frozen soul that became the creatures frozen shackles.
The creature was buried deeper down in the dungeon, possessed by the souls The Ice Sister needed to take with her to freeze the creature of plague and shadow, its said the whispers and supernatural chill you feel the deeper you go belongs to them.
With the Ice Sister out of place, the dungeon needed a new keeper, Cleric, the Lightborn mirror blessed Vivace with a boon of light power.
Vivace had been here since the beginning, he witnessed countless bloodshed and had survived the worst that happened, it only made sense that he be put in charge as the new lairkeeper, Cleric had a dungeon to watch over.
There was an uncertainty to Vivace about this- he felt a certain darkness in his heart for the things he did, his hands were covered by illusionary blood and death
