Charybdis

Once known as Bloodwraith, and Haemos' most favored offspring from his first nest with Flashwing, once labelled as his sole heir, this dragon has recently succumbed to a previously-latent mutation, causing him to warp into a twisted amphibious sea monster. Now, the beast known as Charybdis is still favored by his parents, but his place as Haemos' heir had been taken by his nephew, Vampiris, starting a rivalry that eventually culminated in Charybdis getting Vampiris forcibly Exalted. Now, certain that he is the only one right for Haemos' position, Charybdis waits underwater, biding his time and eagerly waiting for the chance to usurp control of the Lair from his father. Haemos finds his son's inherent treachery thrilling. The Fallout Streak commonly seen flitting around Charybdis is an artifact of what he once was, as he, as Bloodwraith, once dressed in Red Birdskull attire and formed a spiritual link with the bird. It now sometimes flies too close, causing Charybdis to snap at it, leading the horrified creature to wonder what has happened to its former master.
