WINDWARD
is a relatively quiet coastal town in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Nothing interesting or newsworthy really happens there, except the occasional hurricane and holidays. Or at least, nothing that the public is aware of. It's early spring, and a freak earthquake has just kick-started a chain of events that will bring six teens together and thrust them into adventures beyond all imagining. When a seemingly unstoppable foe threatens to cripple the ocean habitat they've grown to love, the crew will have to fight for their lives and use every single trick in the book to neutralize the enemy ━ one with farther reach, more resources and perhaps a team of his own. The story isn't available anywhere online (aside from the eternally unfinished lore doc which will one day be available for reading), but I love getting asked about it! Just shoot me a PM if you're curious about the story and I'll happily give you a plot dump, or at least the best one I can do without mentioning things we probably aren't allowed to talk about here on Flight Rising dot com.

OCTONAUTS REIMAGINED
is my AU of the kids series Octonauts, which was conceived during a long drive in summer 2024 and has lived rent-free in my head ever since. This is a fandragon of it (weird, I know). I've put massive amounts of thought into everything, and by now the Windwardverse must have deeper lore than the Mariana Trench. At this point it's not really an AU, it's a total rewrite that asks 'how far can I stray from the plot of octonauts before it is no longer octonauts'. There is angst, generational trauma and psychochemical warfare to name a few. Long story sort, not suitable for the original show's target audience (small children). If you're drawing the dragon, feel free to ignore the skin and/or all apparel — his outfits are never set in stone (except the halo, which is staying there til the ends of time itself). My goal is to get as many likes and art for him as possible, perhaps even get him to 100 likes! Every new star he gets brings me unimaginable joy. The dragon himself will be staying Unnamed, but you can call him Windward or just the O:R dragon.

THINGS TO NOTE

• I have a whole playlist for the AU tucked away somewhere, but if I have to pick one general theme song it's Castaways. Ironically, the lyrics at the beginning of this bio are the chorus of a different song that I just had to include because it describes the town of Windward PERFECTLY.
• You don't really need to be into the original Octonauts to understand what's going on in Reimagined, since it's diverged so far from canon it's an original story by now.
• Once again, Octonauts Reimagined was written with teen and up audiences in mind. Despite the source material this story is definitely not for kids.
• Please do not choose Windward for any 'steal a dragon' games. I take it as a personal insult for some reason.

The context for these was that O:R originally appeared as a series of animatics in my head set to specific songs, and I've got an outfit for each song (and a poor description [because it's just funnier that way] of what happens during each one).
