The Shatterer

THE FAMILIAR - ZHIGZARDUM
Zhigzardum, or Zigzag as it is sometimes known, is a sprite created by the Earthshaker. It is smaller than other sprites, but much more durable and capable of punching through solid rock when its temper is roused.

B I O G R A P H Y

The first Snapper to venture into the Pyreshivan Stronghold, and the first earth dragon as well, Bodugorok found himself a welcome addition to Pentarax's ranks in the days when the fortress was located within the volcanic colony of the Great Furnace. Early on, Pentarax had begun to shape the lair to accommodate dragons of every breed and elemental alignment, and the Snapper was happily at home, seeking and trading information with other dragons in the lair.

After a time, other earth dragons ventured into the lair as well; first among them was a female named Artaia. Attracted to her first for how her name called back to the eldest of days, Bodugorok soon found in her an equally knowledgeable friend and eventually mate. The two of them have since remained in one another's company, journeying together on numerous archaeological expeditions to and from Dragonhome.

When Pentarax relocated the Stronghold to the Wyrmwound in the heart of the treacherous Scarred Wasteland, Bodugorok and Artaia led the clans along the path they had taken northward countless times before. The going was treacherous, but as the two of them had tread the path and made their jointly formidable presence known in prior times, the dragons found little difficulty making their way, much to the disappointment of some of the more savage dragons in the lair such as Jivalax and Astara.

B I O G R A P H Y

In all his time near the Wyrmwound, Bodugorok has found his life considerably more interesting. The trips to and from Dragonhome are shorter and considerably less dangerous, though the territory of the Plaguebringer is itself more hazardous than the Ashfall Waste ever was. Still, life goes on and the Snapper is as tough now as he was then.

While Bodugorok does not always understand what machinations Pentarax is setting in motion or indeed many of the Skydancer's cryptic mumblings, he has found that few dragons in the lair do, and he is content to simply accept the oddities of his new leader. He is among the more patient dragons in the Pyreshivan Stronghold, and laughs more easily than most.

An odd development has been the growth of his family. Many of Bodugorok and Artaia's children have gone on to other lairs, essentially spreading the family across much of Sornieth. Indeed, rumor has it that one of the children even made it as far as the Southern Icefield, and experimented with a scroll of strange magic only to change breed entirely.

Bodugorok is proud of all of his children (and grandchildren), especially Chisp and Potato.
