Grub

As you were strolling along the shoreline, you noticed a tiny dragon, no bigger than a beach ball, scuttling through the sand. He had large, whirling eyes that seemed to watch you intently. As you stopped to gaze back, the tiny tide pools whirled faster and you could hear a faint rumbling inside the creature's stomach. Grub, as you would later learn his name, opened his maw and expelled a small rock that rolled toward your feet. Surprised, you bent down and picked it up—a smooth, polished stone flecked with gold. It seemed like a token from the beach itself. The little thing gave you a curious glance before he continued his journey.
