PERSONALITY

For a Guardian, Illu is rather cowardly. Her timid nature makes it so that instead of protecting others, she is often the one having to be protected. As a hatchling, her father was harsh on her and she would cry when being confronted about not being brave and fierce enough to be a Guardian. Furthermore, Illu never got the instinct to start The Search, a natural Guardian instinct that makes them seek out a charge to protect for the rest of their life. Thus she sometimes wonders if she wasn't meant to be a Guardian, and should’ve been a Nocturne like her mother instead.

RELATIONSHIPS

Illu and Miles have a caring relationship. As hatchlings, Miles first found Illu by a lake crying about her father's scoldings and he consoled her, teaching her how to be strong. They were separated after that but would always remember each other fondly - Miles would look for bright flowers that reminded him of Illu to remind him that the world wasn't so cruel, and Illu would remember Miles' teachings to brave The Search. When they finally met again in Spiriden grown up, Illu mistook her affection for Miles as her charge, and vowed to protect him, getting herself in danger and getting saved by Miles instead. They eventually cleared that up and figured their love for each other, both of them now living happily in Spiriden with their children, Feiv and Katevern.
