hal and iridas make up the dynamic duelist duo known as the glitterglow boys. the glitterglow boys travel sornieth fighting anyone who challenges them with their signature theatrical flair, which has given them a fair amount of renown. they're also boyfriends. awesome.

the glitterglow boys grew up as part of the same mirror pack in the sunbeam ruins, being friends basically since they hatched. they had a normal mirror upbringing, learning to fight together, travelling with their pack and generally being carefree. sure, their theatrical personalities, which leaked into their fighting styles, annoyed the older warriors a bit, but they were still respected as competent fighters.

their lives were flipped upside down when their pack got a little too close to luminax. the emperor ripped through the dragons they had considered family. but it would have been worse had hal and iridas not been quick on their feet, distracting luminax and getting the survivors the hell outta there, so that's something.

the survivors of their pack hadn't been the only ones to witness the boys in action that day, and they became known in the area as the two mirrors who fought luminax and not only survived, not only saved a bunch of dragons, but also did it with style. taking advantage of their new reputation, hal and iridas became travelling warriors, acting as occasional mercenaries but mainly duelling and fighting for show. the name 'glitterglow boys' just kind of happened, but they liked it so it stuck.

later on, the glitterglow boys decided to take up residence in the mirror maze, finally feeling ready to rejoin a mirror pack.

hal is the mage of the pair, slinging spells to create a deadly light show. he's also the only one to have the sense to wear some armour.
