Cavan always felt peculiar and out of place when around others in her clan. "If I do not dance or draw or sing, what am I?" She never much cared for performing. In fact, she was much more interested in tinkering with things. Unlike many of the wandering circus, she has a very strong tie with the Lightning element. You can see something that looks like a spark occasionally flicker through her gembond when she's using her tiny hands to touch two wires together. She feels a stranger with the Thelbësor Baile...even to her own family. With a heavy heart, she's decided to go on a journey to find where she truly belongs. She left home and traveled back to the Shifting Expanse, where she found many teachers, but still felt rather outmatched by so many ambitious inventors. She traveled to the Abiding Boneyard in search of a teacher she'd heard good things about, when she stumbled upon a sick wildclaw named Finbar, she nursed the other dragon back to health, and learned he was a traveler like her, though he left home to become a better fighter. He was very pleasant company, rather overdrammatic, and quite goofy really. Eventually, when he was healed up, he had to depart, though the boy was very reluctant to do so. She though it was very sweet, but turned down his offer to travel with him. He traveled for glory and battle, she'd need to stay in single places for quite long to train and hone her skills. She bid the other farewell sadly, and went about her training. The two kept in touch, her sending updates on her travels and blueprints and plans for her various projects, him tales of new foes and poetry. Cavan joined Trip clan after wandering through the area and stumbling upon Lathrops workshop, she met the fae Tarlek and the two hit it off quite quickly, though she didn't understand or share the others interest in incidiaries and explosives, she did join the other in studying under the eccentric Lathrop. The two have been working on quite a few projects together. Lucky for the skydancer, on one fateful morning the wildclaw Finbar found her on the Plateau, he tried to convince her to come back with him to his clan, he'd found a worthy opponent to train and try to best, but she had to turn him down, she'd found work here and a real teacher after all. She sent the other off with a favor, a hibiscus from the Plateau, and he visits often, though the journey is long he seems determined to come despite what she says. |
