_____She was found alone and freezing in the tundra, covered by snow and ice from the storm. How she got there she wouldn't share, and shock had brought her to silence for months. Over that time her breath grew colder and her eyes paler and the sickness her home clan had so feared finally came to light. She tried to hide it, afraid she would be banished again, but nothing could be hidden from Faith. _____Before she could run away, Jack came to talk to her. His pale eyes glowed from beneath his hood and cold steam rolled off him to fall to the ground. He wore bandages to hide the marks so visible on her, and showed her that she had a home here just like he did.
_____Many years have passed since then and she has lost her voice once again to the sickness. Over time she lost herself and some say her heart became ice cold. Her heart, and entire body, had been frozen for many years already, it was only catching up with her mind finally. _____Over time her breath grew colder, and the ground froze where she stood too long. Soon she would need to bandage her hands as well, though she chose to avoid contact for even a touch from her blackened hands could kill.
_____To cope she learned magic. She isolated herself within the upper caverns where the heat did not reach and where she could not harm anyone. She taught herself how to wield the power of the frozen land, and how to do it without anyone knowing. Eventually she learned to kill without anyone, even the target, realizing they are dying. How she learned that is better left unanswered. _____Some say she is emotionless, and they would be wrong. Anger and wrath rage within her. They fuel her need to become better, more powerful. |
