Fed up with her original clan's rigid bureaucracy and one-minded ways, Goldthread broke away to establish a clan of her own. She is shrewd, calculating, and has already proven herself on the battlefield, despite her youth. Having seen the distortion of truth in her old clan like the bending of light, she is determined to guide a new clan to illuminate the world and best serve the Lightweaver.
A soldier and scholar from her old clan, unbeknownst to her, slipped out and followed her to her new territory. Eventually
Obsidian approached and convinced her of his worth. Now, he is both her guard and her mate.
