Overshadow

I §hðµLÐñ'† bê Hêrê you utter to yourself while zipping through the undergrowth. The familiar blue light of the glow-shrooms grows dim and you struggle to recognize your surroundings. You push forward, but the world around you only grows darker and darker, and eventually, it feels like you have stepped into an endless void. As you press on you start hearing laughter, at first the sound brought relief, thinking that maybe others were around. However, it wouldn't take long for you to realize there was no one there. Were you going mad?

A few more hours passed, and you were becoming lonely and scared, but you kept flying. You were beginning to give up hope when out of the corner of your eye you saw an unkempt Fathom dragonet. The poor creature looked terrified. You flew over to her, hoping maybe you could help, hoping maybe she knew something that could help you. However, the moment you reached her, she disappeared...

You looked up to the sky, where you saw a single glittering star. Hadn't it been there before? You flew towards it, using it as your guide. As you flew the world around you began to change, the trees, mushrooms, and logs turned to stars. The thick undergrowth turned into a beautiful constellation. Even you began to look more like the night sky. You were so mesmerized by your surroundings that it took you a moment to realize you had entered a clearing filled with other star glazed dragons.
