The first thing any dragon notices about Esmeralde is the fittingly Windy and creative bamboo motif that covers much of her body through both paint and feather dye. She proudly wears her "accent," as she calls it, and accredits her former mentor and inspiration for painting and dyeing it on her. Because of her transformation, Esmeralde has dedicated herself to learning and practicing art, especially body "accents."

Esmeralde has indeed painted and dyed several dragons in the clan, beginning with Quantin and most recently Marynn, whose feathers she considers a masterpiece. She will paint on request, and she also gives fashion advice to clanmates. However, she is also a chatterbug, and is always keeping the gossip flowing through her clientele. She has also been known to call clanmates "hun" when giving fashion advice...

Sweetmint is Esmeralde's mate, and though she is not a member of the Icicles, she knows everything about their exploits -- both through Sweetmint and through her web of gossip. She is a wise gossip, however, and knows not to incriminate her silly mate. Actually, she's often seen chiding him for whatever crazy antic the group got in trouble for that day, to which he uses his silver tongue to charm her into believing he won't do it again -- for now. But she can just get him back by telling the story of how she coerced him into wearing matching scarves with her, which always brings a chuckle from other clanmates.
