Quiet has never served her well. Even when she conducted her studies high in the tower of the Arcanist, there was seldom peace to be found about her. She loves the unwinding of knowledge as much as the next dragon devoted to knowledge and intellectual pursuit, of course she does. A part of her heart lives in the dusty smells of archives, in tomes and crafted wonders. But mostly, it resides in the hands of other people.

There is nearly no field she hasn't dabbled in - from pure mathematics to physics and language (her Dunhoof pronunciation is rough but the gramma is spotless) - but she hasn't looked back since she started, mostly by accident, her studies of ancient culture and, especially, their religious practices.

It sings the brightest, all that sacred knowledge and curiosity, in scratchy notes in ancient tomes for her thumbs to run along. To feel the indent of handwriting, to feel the outstretched palm of another person reach for her across time. An ocean of the stuff, to wide for any dragon to cross

It is the only thing that has the ability to make her quiet and reflective even for a second. And even so, her philosophy is clear in everything she does; that love is a meal not meant to be enjoyed in devout silence
 		And thus she is not quiet when the earth splits before them. The sextant is in her hand, the cracked earth stretches beneath her feet - has wiggled its way under her nails and her scales. She brough them here, to the edge of the earth, for this
