Biography

Belegpaw means "Great Plague" in Tolkien Elvish (which of the two or a hybrid has been forgotten).

Beleg was once a prized fighter in Azog's forces. His father was a personal favorite for his ruthlessness and cruelty. However, he fell out of favor with Azog and was killed. Once that happened, Beleg was a reminder of Azog's former ties...which he didn't want. Beleg was sentenced to death but escaped with Nancurunir.

Beleg is still at large, and whether he retained his savage ways is unknown.

Unconscious Beleg and exhaused Nan were found by the scouts of the Frozen Tundra Clan. Beleg was taken to the High Seer Arella. She cared for him and, when he came to, managed to calm him enough to get his story. He is considered a refugee, yet a dangerous one.
