Biography

~ Demora ~

Excentric • Hilarious • Intelligent

Demora used to be a crazy child. Yet with the apprenticeship that her adopted parents, Valion and Cylia, set her with, she has calmed down dramatically (scroll to bottom of her page to see her old bio). The apprenticeship was with Myriah because her parents thought it would be best if Demora got involved in something to curb her hyperactiveness, but after the first day of being under the watchful eye of Myriah.

~ • ~

Demora was found wandering the lands by herself. She couldn't fly very well and when a patrolling group from this clan walked by and asked her where she was heading, she kept repeating that she was looking for her brother, Bedwyr. She had followed him into the Shadowlands but she lost him while she was examining a fungus. Amongst the squad of dragons, Valion was present. Demora didn't want to talk to any other dragon but him and she would only repeat that her brother would be looking for her. Many dragons tried to convince her to come back to the camp, but that seemed to only scare the little imperial, and she deliberately hid under Valion's massive body when the squad tried to question her. Now Valion, at this time, did not know how to raise a child, so he allowed her to crawl between his legs and eventually on his back. Suddenly, she was very close to his ears. "Is this Clan a good one?" Taken aback, Valion paused for a moment. "Yes," he said finally with all honesty. "Okay good!" she chirped, but not long after, she said that she would be leaving the next morning as Valion carried her on his back. "By the way, Mr. Imperial, my name is Demora! Don't tell anyone though! It's our seeecret."

Of course, the next day, Eogan did not let the little imp go. He shifted her attention to other things and she had forgotten of her brother, only occasionally mentioning that he would be there soon to get her, before getting re-absorbed into the fun activity. Too exhausted to protest, little Demora slept at the camp again. In the night, Valion could hear little Demora crying. He didn't know what to do, so he went over to Demora's door. Knocking, he asked, "What's wrong, little bird? Can I come in?" "Yes," she peeped back, seeming surprised that someone had heard her. "What's wrong, Demora?" She sniffled, "I...I really miss my b-b-brother...a-and my mom and d-daad..." she began to sob profoundly, "...th-they left us in the wooods a few-w days a-ago and all I had w-wa-a-as my b-bROTHEr," she howled and she cried loudly, and Demora held Valion in her little arms. Valion patted her head, "Little bird, it's okay, do you want a mom and dad?" She wiped away her tears, "Oh y-yes, Mr. Imperial! More than anything." "I could be your dad, and my mate could be your mom!" And Demora had a family once again. A very happy family.

~ • ~

Demora's new family was all that she had hoped her old family was and she was pleased. She loved her mom, Cylia and her dad, Valion. Soon they gave her a mentor to take her mind off of her brother and to calm her down and she was much better, aside for the occasional crying in the night, though, as she aged, that seemed to become less frequent. To Cylia's surprise, Demora had become a proper young lady under the teachings of Myriah.

~ • ~

One morning, Cylia left the Clan. She had left a note behind that Valion would not show her. Demora cried and cried, for she had been abandoned yet again, yet Valion was still there for her. Valion was always there for her.

~ • ~

Demora would get anxious if Valion went away on long fishing trips. In fact, she would become too nervous to practice medicine and would often leave early to go cry somewhere. These times were tough, but she would be so glad when her father returned with fresh fish and sometimes little pieces of jewelry. One time, Valion returned home with a suitor for his daughter. "Little bird!"nValion would call out as usual, "I brought you back a gift!" And always, Demora would fly over the crowd and hug him. "I missed you so much," she would always say, but her words were cut short when she saw the new dragon dressed head-to-toe in pirate drag. "This is the gift I brought you back, little bird! His name his Ulfric. I would...errh, like for you to consider him a suitor..." "M-my what??" "He's funny and charming and I really like him...besides, you're the only child that hasn't left me yet...I'm getting older, sweetie...I want to see some grandbabies before I die..." "PPPPPPleaaase. Dad! You are NOT that old. In fact, you're more the age now to settle down than you where when you where with Cylia!" she glanced at Ulfric, "Besides, I'm not really into the Pirate type."

~ • ~

Demora wanted to prove to her father that there were some things that he didn't know about her and that she wasn't who he thought she was, but after Ulfric changed his clothes they talked, and Demora realised that her dad had known that they were a perfect match. The first child they had together was Avaris. Though they also adopted a young, lost dragon named Pisce who reminded Demora of herself tremendously.

~ • ~

With Demora all moved out, Valion became lonesome. Demora encouraged him to go out and meet a new, young dragon on his voyage, though he didn't want to bring a foreigner back. Eventually, he hit it off with Nymeria (which Demora was surprised by, for Nymeria is not even a little bit similar to Cylia) and then Demora had a step sister named Norvina. Norvina kept Valion happy (and busy) which made Demora pleased. It was nice to see Valion so cheerful again!

~ • ~

Recently, Valion was lost out at sea and Demora was very worried for him. She tried not to allow herself to cry in front of her children, but they saw it anyways. Because Demora had missed so many work days, Myriah came over and slapped her. "Do you not see what you are doing, girl? You're causing your family to stress over nothing. Think about how little Norvina and her mother are coping and look at you and your family. If Norvina could see her sister like this, she would be scared as well. She needs your encouragement and so do your daughters. Come back to work to keep your mind off of things, girl. Valion has been on trips much longer than this and he is most likely fine. Don't worry yourself too much." And then the ice-coloured dragon left, but not before Demora thanked her mentor and soon followed. Valion did eventually return.

A BLAST FROM THE PAST

A loud screech is heard as a flurry of wings and bandages bursts through the room. Cylia was just having a nice conversation with you as this wild creature entered the premises.

"Demora! What are you doing now?" Cylia said, slightly flustered and embarrassed, but alarm soon entered her eyes, "Little bird, why do you have bandages all over you?"

"Mom!" she turned her head quickly, moving towards Cylia (to which you quickly made the connection that Cylia must be Demora's mother), "Myriah was teaching me how to use bandages and stuff. She even complimented me! She said that-" Demora halted abruptly once she saw you, and made a face to show her disgust, "Who is that?"
The smile on Cylia's face disappeared. "Be polite, dearest," she muttered, almost as a warning, "this is...err, I didn't catch your name..."

You say your name and Demora looks at you with boredom. She turned back to her mother. "Mooom," Demora whined, "I waannnt to tell you about my daaay."

"Okay, little bird," Cylia sighed, "I'm so sorry for my daughter, she's a little hyperactive and she just recently began an apprenticeship with Myriah...have you met her yet? She's the Clan's 'doctor' I guess you could call her-"
"Mooom!!"
"Yes dear, I'm almost done talking!" she turns back to you, lowering her voice, "think about my offer." And she went to go see her daughter.
