Lilac

*Lilac was named for the bright purple flower her coloring resembles.

*Lilac came to the clan pretty normally, considering being the One who blooms in May of Alexandrite's Prophecy. Lilac came to the Clan of Spinning Compasses because a mysterious stranger sent her there by order of the Windsinger.

*Her mate is Notus, and they love to adventure together. They make a great addition to any journey with Lilac's travel music and Notus's sense of direction. Although, they almost weren't a couple in the first place. Matata, Lilac's adoptive brother, didn't want to lose spending quality time with Lilac. After all, Lilac did bring him to the clan. They were meant to be siblings forever! So, Matata tried to make Notus un-fall in love with Lilac, who was oblivious to her clanmate's crush on her. Matata tried everything, framing Lilac for countless pranks pulled on Notus (guess who the real culprit was), whispering how little Lilac cared for Notus into Notus's ear while he was asleep. Matata even publicly humiliated Notus in front of Lilac, revealing Notus's crush to her as a final, desperate attempt before Notus asked Lilac on a date. This completely blew up in Matata's face, however; even after sabotoging the first date, and the following one, and so forth, Lilac and Notus's love for each other only grew. Eventually, it was discovered that Matata was the source of commotion, and he was very ashamed. But all was forgiven, and Notus even politely asked Matata for permission to wed Lilac. Their wedding was disaster-free, and Matata and Notus came so far as to become best friends!

*Her children are skilled musically, like their mother, and gifted with a superb sense of direction from their father.

*Rarely will you ever see Lilac without her Wooden Pipeflite. She really loves to play the instrument, even named it Peter Panpipe. Don't get her wrong, though- her musical talent is outstanding!

*Lilac and Notus's room in the clan's headquarters is actually a giant, living, hollow, cedar tree that magically grows from the side of Headquarters. It's kind of shaped like a lookout tower, and all the clan hatchlings are welcome to come play "pirates" in the top floor. If you use Notus's handheld telescope, you can see the Southern Icefield from up there!

*Lilac's best friends are Drifa and Kenda.

*She doesn't have a prophecy, but she does have a message from a mysterious stranger. The note was tucked inside a Playful Windsinger Puppet. In fact, that puppet still sits on Lilac's bedside table. The paper is framed in the Dining Hall, along with the prophecies of the other twelve.
