Hawthorne

Hawthorne was born in the Gladeveins. A few young Maren found his egg left behind after a Beastclan raid. They took pity on him and secretly took him in, against the wishes of the colony's more experienced members. When he reached adolescence he became too big to hide, and fearing for their safety, the Maren sent him off to find his own clan.

Poison-making has always fascinated him. He learned to poison his blood, and he immunized himself against even the strongest toxins. He acts as the clan's chemist and poisonmaker, developing medicines and antidotes for toxins. On behalf of the clan’s council, he communicates with the Maren that live outside the Hewn City.

He's kind and curious, but he has lots of odd behaviors left over from his upbringing. This is something he's self concious about -- he often feels like he doesn't fit in with dragons or Maren. He can communicate fluently with most Beastclans, speaking the dragon tongue as a second language.
