A shoal, sandbank, or sandbar is a characteristically linear landform completely within or extending into a body of water. It is typically composed of sand, silt, and/or small pebbles.

Shoal was discovered on the beach by Sienna and Ellenia. He was buried in a sand castle that other hatchlings built around him as he slept. Ellenia noticed the light blue peeking out from the ivory sand and helped dig him out. Shoal has not yet spoken about his origins and remains extremely shy around clanmates. However, he loves to play on the beach and is often found covered in sand. Many of the other hatchies claim that he is a selkie who turns into one of the maren, but what do hatchlings know? When they ask Shoal about it, he will laugh and give them a seashell, turning longingly towards the ocean. 		Peppermint
