Genesis

Genesis (she/her):
Genesis learned quickly that the way to survive in this clan was to become uncaring. And she burned the care out of herself, though she sometimes felt the lick of old embers. When her brother tripped over his half working legs. When Jammer winced as he flapped his wings. For whatever poor creature found itself in between Miasma or Howle's claws. She stamps it out with a fervor until even her brother's ailments spark little feeling in her gut.

Genesis starts to observe the clan dynamic. She carefully pays attention to where everyone fits. And she inserts herself. She makes sure to get Magdeline's favor first. Then Irving's. She becomes increasingly more apathetic, especially towards her already outcast or left behind nest mates. And in this game, she finds the closest thing to an ally she can; someone who's been playing the same game longer.

Miasma could've turned her away or shunned her or something far worse. But she didn't. Much to Genesis' surprise, Miasma takes her under her wing, and the two become close, helping each other game the system that was their guardian's affection and attention.

Genesis will become the next clan leader. She knows it, deep in her chest. She has worked too hard to be beloved by Irving and Magdeline to not get a fighting chance.
