 "Words have no power to impress the mind without the exquisite horror of their reality."

Dark and brooding, Poe spends most of his time locked away in his study, writing gloomy novels in quiet solitude. Few in the grove know much about his past, nor do many know much about his present. The only person he seems close to in the slightest is his partner, Sloane, whose origins are equally mysterious.

That said, his writing, despite its dark tone and mysterious subject matter, is highly praised both in and out of Moonriver Grove for its quality. He's gathered a cult-like fanbase over the years who collect and analyze his work, though he doesn't appreciate his newfound fame, much preferring his privacy. Other than Sloane, the only living things he seems to tolerate as his "fans" are the mysterious ravens that follow him around.
