- absent-minded (although known to quickly snap back to reality once asked anything relating to his profession; but only to drift off into their previous thoughts afterwards), shy (especially if they stumble into a large, unplanned gathering of people -> this may trigger his social anxiety)

wants (conscious): to feel accomplished in life; not get too involved in social situations, but also actually have somebody he can talk to (preferably interested in his hobbies)
needs (subconscious): to feel secure, live in a relatively quiet enviroment, maybe find a soulmate so he doesn't die alone (they swear they don't need anything, that's a lie)

concepts:

• checks in on the hydroponic farms once in a while, even though it's not their responsibility; the sight of greenery puts him at ease and helps him concentrate on their actual tasks
• sophisticated in his field of expertise / fixation; there are days where they are less interested in produce or making food plans (usually when under a lot of stress), but they seem to pick it back up rather quickly
• hobbies / interests include: nutricion, plant cultivation, soil science (testing the ground's ph, for example) & hydrology
• picked up art as another one of his hobbies shortly after settling into [desert town]; mostly uses it as therapy / to express himself

for art: head fins are similar in shape to undertide fins, but have more webbing between them
