A loving mother of the shadow flight and a father of the wind flight had a lovely family of three. Two twins, and... A third, unexplainable child. His wings bore the same eyelike pattern of his predecessors, and his hide was iridescent like that of his parents... But from a young age, Gale knew he was different. His colors shone as brightly as his eyes themselves, reflective of the unbound wind within. Yet there was a part of him, a more restrained part, that longed for quiet independence.

With two loud brothers at home and squabbling parents, solace was rare. Gale found himself wandering out more and more which for a while soothed him, but solitude began to wear on his mind.

Wanting more than the life he had at home, the young spiral did what was most natural to him—he left, and let the wind carry him to new opportunities.
