Biography
"Stick around. Welcome to the Valkyrie, you're in for a treat."
Ulmo: Valar of the Water
The Pearlcatcher breathed slowly. He could feel the sea dwelling with him. Every source of water, flowing. From the volt-filled lakes of the Shifting Expanse, to the glades of the Viridian Labyrinth. He could feel the water in the air around him, and his shining wings fluttered, a soft haze fanning around them.
The Valkyrie watched in interest, as the Valar was deep in concentration. None dared to disturb, and even tender hatchlings watched, with their eyes wide open. The Shark Queen, Morvleynezth watched in interest. The other Valar watched their newest member exercising his powers. Unlike theirs, his was dormant his whole life, and only surfaced now.
The Pearlcatcher let out a mighty roar, and raised himself on his hind legs.
The waves rumbled, rearing up behind their master. Rivulets of water seemed to rise up everywhere, seemingly frozen, and Ulmo opened his eyes, which were glowing bright, along with his pearl. The other Valar's eyes seemed to shine. The
Ulmo slammed his front paws back on the ground, and immediately, as soon as he hit the ground, the very water in the air seemed to explode around him, and his howl seemed to intensify as his power went rampant, untamed.
Kensa should have stopped him, in this madness. But she didn't. She only watched him in awe, and a hint of smugness. With the Valar on her side, the Valkyrie was unstoppable.
She bowed before him, and the Valkyrie followed.
The Valkyrie paid a pretty penny to Loskvenydh to capture the Pearlcatcher hatchling from his Clan. They normally don't take prophecies seriously, but hearing that the little one was foretold to be one of the Valar, especially the Valar of the Sea, ("A Pearl with Shining Wings awaits, the Father of Water, a dormant power within,") the Valkyrie needed to have him.
So at a few hours old, he was stolen, and assimilated to the Valkyrie, to be revered as a god, and to be trained to be one of the Valar.
Because the Clan he was stolen from was one of the lairs of the Water Flight, he does not remember that he was not indeed, born in the Valkyrie. He believes Kensa's story about him falling from the sky, much like Varda and Irmo, and frankly, the Valkyrie wishes for it to stay that way.
