- Maybe he ran into Yahtzee on one of his gathering outings in the woods, or maybe he just took too few precautions with the seemingly benign fungal infections, not being able to see it for what it was until it was too late
- Was unable to help the first few patients, once he realized it was more serious and began scrambling for a remedy, (once he felt the itching begin), he had no experience with something like this
