Merlot

Merlot Spitespit was found as an egg left behind in the wreckage of a fae colony collapse thanks to Drone's heat sensing. Despite his protest, Duchess thought it only right to raise this egg with their own clutch at the lair.

Being raised in a nest of mirrors, Merlot quickly became the most feisty to compensate for her size. Merlot & Bentilais are inseparable. Her favorite activities are foraging with Benny, fighting anything, & shutting down sassy customers at the Repose. Her favorite dish is Plague Rice. Spoiler: its maggots.

Merlot's birth parents did make the journey back to see if they could recover their missing eggs. Although they were overjoyed (probably) that one hatched safely, Merlot was already irrevocably weird for a fae dragon. Her parents opted to allow Duchess to raise her & still occasionally visit the Violet repose to marvel at how weird their lost daughter is.

Merlot learned to fly much quicker than her mirror siblings. This was initially out of necessity but she became the best flier in the lair to necessitate her favorite battle strategy: divebombing. Merlot also mastered her magic quicker, learning from Yamata & Duchess. Imagine accidentally stepping on your little sister's toy so she divebombs you in attempt to spit bile in your ear. That is how Merlot do.
