The sharp, clipped voice of Clan Sunsharp's head technician can easily be heard ringing across the territory whenever she is in the middle of a project. Lightning to the core, her ingenuity and quick problem-solving skills have benefited the clan in countless ways.

Once Perenth gets started on a project, she does not want to be disturbed or hindered. If someone is helping her with something, they better get used to being shouted at. Those who get in her way had best prepare themselves for a low-voltage shock from her golem. Perenth means business, does not like to waste time, and gets straight to the point when she's speaking. She has no tolerance for nonsense or foolishness, and completely abhors laziness.

Perenth has found herself in a bit of a rivalry with the clan's forgemaster, Panabash. The two argue constantly over who is better at their respective craft; Panabash sees creation as an art, a passionate, disorganized process of the heart, where Perenth approaches her work clinically and places her faith in the sciences. Despite their differences, their workshops are next door to one another, and their relationship tends to fluctuate between "bickering neighbors" and "begrudging lovers."

Perenth used to have a job in the Lightning Farm operating heavy machinery for the Stormcatcher. She was great at her job, and the work that she did generated tons of power for the use of her fellow residents of the Shifting Expanse. When she and her coworkers were urged to work more quickly in preparation for the Thundercrack Carnivale, they did as they were told and picked up the pace.

However, this came at the price of lack of safety with equipment usage. One thing led to another and eventually a generator exploded in the sector Perenth was assigned to. A dozen of her coworkers died and several more were injured; she herself barely escaped with a few electrical burns and her life. Feeling responsible for the catastrophe by not watching her coworkers more closely and cautioning them against overworking themselves, Perenth left the Shifting Expanse in search of a clean slate.

Her wanderings brought her North, to the Sunbeam Ruins, where she crossed paths with Alacrith's clan. The dragons here were friendly enough, knew nothing of her past, and were in need of a technician. That settled it for Perenth, and she accepted their offer to join the clan immediately. Her quick mind and hunger for knowledge doesn't make her too out of place among the Light dragons here. The Sunbeam Ruins are starting to grow on her.
