Ornan

Already on his own path that closely mirrored the clan’s, Ornan had been traveling with Idwalon when they encountered Hexa and Dexa on one of their patrols in the Shattered Plains. After sharing that they were seeking shelter and water, Hexa brought them to the clan for rest. As all clan members are naturally inquisitive about the individual’s experience, both Ornan and Idwalon were peppered with questions about their travels and knowledge, which Ornan took great pleasure in sharing. He barely noticed as time moved, and it had been months before he fully realized how he had fallen into the routine of the clan. Finally asking their hosts why they were being treated as members when they had offered nothing in return, they were given a simple explanation of the clan’s operation and views, to which they had questions numbering more than they had been asked themselves. Another three months later, Ornan and Idwalon still had not left and at no point did it occur that they should want to.

Ornan deeply embraced the clan and found special companionship with Tony, who, while not remotely sharing his intellectual capacity, deeply shared his affections. She has even called him to share in her wandering; a moment of awareness rarely seen. After asking Beginning’s blessing (to which he was told to get Tony’s), Ornan intends to transition to a Snapper before proposing to Tony. Secretly, he hopes this was lower his capabilities, desiring to be just as happy and content as Tony is and makes him feel. Also secretly, upon Tony accepting his proposal, Beginning plans to make one to him; to join the ranks of the Alt Erde. (Although she does worry about his Dappled Seal and InOutOne’s Fenfisher Flattail residing so closely).
