They come up with rumors- monstrous half-maren attacking crews, overgrown mantarunes devouring entire ships, and of a shade-corrupted captain titled "Voidtaker." One rumor is rare and far between these thrilling tales- one of a potential island, surrounded by pitch-black fog, only appearing at night. Some say riches hide under it's earth, others claiming it contains a fountain granting power. One thing always stays in these stories: tales of a batch of rocks, always blocking the path, containing only an imperial singing softly of future demise, yet offering safety from that- the cost only being a waltz on the sea. -anchor doggo fish thing. technically mute, can only talk through the siren song eye lore.
-eclipse prophet from the grandfather... black range terts can see death... may be able to see how a person dies if seren lets them live, and most of the time it results in seren eating them.
-lures in sailors on a rock by singing, PROBABLY about their demise and about seren serving as a safe haven, and then seren dances with them. the anchor's their tail, and it causes the victim to sink down with seren until they realize they're drowning, in which seren will then let them struggle a bit, playing with them until they fully drown. unless they can't drown. then... well, seren believes the victim should perhaps reintroduce themself to the ecosystem.
