Biography

Menagerie has a fascination with collecting strange and rare artifacts from the various creatures he studies. His lair is filled with an eclectic mix of scales, feathers, bones, and mysterious trinkets.

He has the unique ability to mimic the sounds and calls of the creatures he studies. This often leads to humorous situations where he startles his companions by perfectly imitating a fearsome roar or a peculiar chirp.

Menagerie has an almost photographic memory when it comes to creatures and their habitats. He can recall the smallest details of an encounter, making him an invaluable source of knowledge for his polycule.

He exudes a subtle, ever-changing scent that reflects his mood and the creatures he’s recently encountered. Friends and companions often catch whiffs of forest pine, salty sea air, or exotic flowers when near him.

Menagerie enjoys creating small, magical gadgets to aid in his cryptozoological pursuits. These devices range from enchanted compasses to self-writing journals and tiny, creature-friendly traps.

He has a highly specific diet, preferring foods that are either extremely rare or have some unique connection to the creatures he studies. This often leads to his polycule having to embark on mini quests just to find his next meal.

His feathers can glow in various colors, providing light in dark places. This ability is not only useful for exploration but also serves as a communication tool with other dragons and magical creatures.

Menagerie loves listening to and telling stories about mythical creatures and their origins. He often seeks out local legends and folklore wherever he travels, adding these tales to his vast mental library.

While he can’t fully transform into other creatures, Menagerie enjoys using minor polymorph spells to alter parts of his body to resemble the creatures he studies, such as growing temporary feathers or scales.

He carries a sketchbook everywhere and compulsively draws every new creature he encounters, no matter how dangerous or pressing the situation. His sketches are highly detailed and often annotated with notes on the creature’s behavior and habitat.
