Where the strange blood of Naomi might have run dormant in someone of such descent, it flares up most powerfully in his own. A cursed seer, a thousand eyes in the back of his head. In Vigilant’s mind the wires of past and future alike cross, allowing him insight into infinite realities. Whatever you can dream, Vigilant has seen. And whatever nightmare you can come up with, he has thought of too.

Endless knowledge is an endless curse. Haunted by constant threats, aware of the dangers his siblings pose, Vigilant has taken it upon himself to protect his home with utmost loyalty. Alerting those at the Outpost to potential catastrophes and warning those in the Idyll in case of famine or other disasters, he travels to and from Sornieth in order to learn more and catch up on any recent news. He has also begun to learn how to change fate itself- to choose a strand of time he favours and pull the strings until that becomes the present. This ability is reflected in the eye patterns and magical hand inked upon his wings. Skathi sees potential in him to be an excellent Hunter, able to predict the moves of his enemies and manipulate events to his liking. However, Adversary refuses to let him through for training.

Vigilant perceives the world around him via his other senses, such as hearing and touch, rather than sight. Sight only gives him headaches, and his vision is worsening anyway.

A kindly soul, quiet and reserved, this seer spends his days tucked away in his library. Isolated from the world, he spends day after day in his endless webs of prophecy, writing them down on scroll after scroll to send back to his companions.
