The dragon, Cas, was somewhat unique in the sense she had been hatched at sea, the offspring of two pirate parents. They had been a rare breed, those pirates, who didn't simply raid and pillage for the thrill of it. No, they were driven by a deep-seated desire to explore the vast, uncharted waters that surrounded their home island. And so, it was that one fateful day, while they were charting an especially treacherous stretch of shoreline along the shores of the Sunbeam Ruins that their nest of eggs hatched. Revealing this magnificent young coatl with a glint for adventure in her eye at mere hours old.
