 When Dyn grew old enough to learn the difference between the deities, he felt greatly betrayed.

Everything he loved was arcane, the magic flowed through his veins; so why was he born under the Windsinger’s skies? It felt… wrong, at his very core.

Growing up on the border of The Starfall Isles and The Windswept Plateau, Dyn spent his childhood practicing magic with Arcane elders while his friends raced each other across the skies. He tried his best, but his magic was difficult to control, as though it was just as confused by his element as he was. Eventually, he grew tired of the effort and gave up on ever mastering it.

Instead, he focused on the sky. Charting the stars was a way of connecting him to the flight his heart ached to be a part of, calming the bitterness in him. It gave him a clearer mind, and helped him come to terms with the hand he’d been dealt.

The deities obviously had a plan for him, so who was he to question it?
