Having taken a wrong turn at the Nature Flight, Sherrill found herself exhausted above the ocean with no land in sight. Dropping altitude, she extended her wings to their full extent and flipped in the air just before touching down in the water. Using her still-extended wings as floatation, she fell asleep to the gentle rocking of the waves.
The next morning, she woke up just before the very first light of dawn kissed the distant sky and thought to herself, "Well, this is nice." Bright reds and deep purples bled into softer blues as the day awoke, and she watched the show with a soft smile on her face. At peace, she drifted for hours while using her tail as a rudder. Aimlessly, she enjoyed her journey to nowhere, until she spotted a landmass on the very edge of the horizon. "I wonder where this adventure will take me," she chuckled to herself as she shook the water from her wings and hovered a few feet above the sea, then flew to the beckoning land.
She touched down in the middle of a clearing, surrounded by strange dragons who smiled and welcomed her. As beautiful as their love was, she knew this was not the home she searched for. But, it would be a wonderful place to heal.
