Biography
Leander had only been on his search for a couple of weeks when he found an exhausted and injured dragon balled up in a hollow on the outer plains of the Arcane region. He thought she'd been driven from the Plaguelands. Moved to pity, Leander tailed the Mirror to see if he should intervene in her struggles. He discovered she hadn't been attacked by a pack of dragons, but fought herself to exhaustion. He felt, rather than knew, he had found his charge. It could have been pity, affection, or even fear for her life. Leander didn't analyze the urge too deeply.
Aster didn't react as well as Leander hoped. Though at first she seemed hostile, she returned every day to fight and flee, until it became a game. Eventually, Leander reasoned with the Mirror and joined her clan-of-one.
Leander now serves as de facto clan leader. He handles most of the trading and organization while Aster amasses the hoard and flaunts the title "progenitor." Most of the time, he chaperones Aster on fighting excursions to soothe her viciousness. The two are inseparable.
Leander recruited Harvester as a healer, and from there, the clan slowly grew. He's not concerned about enlarging the clan unless each member contributes, but he enjoys the more conversational and responsible company. In his spare time, he's become something of an aviarist. That Aster doesn't eat his birds speaks volumes for their relationship.
The Guardian has always made an effort to communicate with avian clans, being legitimately curious about their culture and invested in making a mutually beneficial truce. The Harpies are having none of it. What progress he made with the Aviars has been called into question by Aster, who believes he's placing too much trust in a formidable and crafty enemy. Leander perseveres and has so far deterred his mate from showing open aggression toward his tentative allies.
