The first time Emrys saw Sania, it was during a thunder storm. She flew slowly above, miraculously untouched by the lightning that destroyed the lair Emrys had been staying at. And while their companions insisted that she was the source of their misfortune and a blight upon the land, Emrys couldn't see her that way. To them, she was beautiful.

It takes them days to catch up to her, and longer still for her to notice them. Even after she looks at Emrys, she turns slowly away, carrying on. Emrys is starting to wonder if following her was the right choice when she lands at the Riftroot lair. At first, Emrys thinks she must be from here. To their surprise, she's as new to this place as they are. And even as the crops shrink away from her passing, no one asks her to leave.
