Oberon hatched in the shadow realm, the darkness providing him with the advantage to study the stars and their magic.

He met his mate, Amalthea, as she traveled through the Tangled Wood on her way to Dragonhome. He may not understand her fascination with rocks, but he does find it endearing. He assumes it similar to his love of the stars and books. Like the dragon embodiment of a golden retriever, Oberon is happy to make a home anywhere that Amalthea is.

Oberon helps the clan to expand the lair and sometimes sneaks the interested hatchlings out to teach them about the stars.
