Biography
Wren -Mistress of Communications
She and Finch receive and launch the messenger birds from the tower's aviary. They collaborate with NYT to gather information for the newsletter. Their flashy hides and jewelry help attract the birds.
Wren is high-energy and cheerful. She loves company and gets along equally well with the birds and the dragons. However during high-traffic seasons she gets a little lonely from not seeing other dragons. After noticing this, Miri quietly asked Kel to create a rotation schedule of dragons who would go and spend a little time with her when she was under high stress.
The aviary only launches birds during the day, but to receive messages that arrive during the night, both Wren and Finch sleep at the top of the tower, in the open. They usually trade off shifts during the day, so they get to bond and chat in the evenings.
The Floracat attached itself to her because of its fascination with the constant flock of birds around her. Wren was delighted, and has been training it to only hunt the mice who get into the birds' seed stores.
Wren's favored messenger, Troglodytida. No, no one but her can pronounce the bird's name. Neither Wren nor Troglodtida seem to mind.

Kel started visiting the aviary as a way to take a break from his busy busy management duties. He started bringing a large scroll of paper on which to paint Wren, noting that her beautiful hide would pose a particular challenge. This was one of his first non-mural projects, and took several weeks of visits to complete. It is hung inside one of the common areas of the tower, to protect it from the elements and as a gentle reminder of the hard and occasionally lonely work that the birders do.
