Shirokuma is a Gaoler with a distaste for liars. Though his methods can be slightly over the top and dramatic, such as singling out dragons who he deems as liars and antagonizing them, he isn't exactly the most honest himself. He deems those who he considers liars as 'ones with black hearts' and makes his annoyance clear.

Despite being more fond of honesty, he isn't fully truthful himself, hiding his natural fur color behind dye and paint. He occupies himself in his frozen lair by surfing on the soft snow and ice that he decorated it with. In his lair, there are a few baskets of fish hidden in a stash. A food that's unusual for his kind to eat, but he enjoys it regardless.
