Not all ocean dragons are meant to stay in the Tidelord’s domain. NAME is one of those dragons. She was born in the heart of Sornieth but desired a life outside of its crushing depths. As a hatchling, NAME spent most of her time sneaking away from her home and playing on the endless shoreline that circled around her territory. She would dig into the sand and cover herself up so that only her frills and snout peaked out. It was here that her playful personality came to be—though those on the receiving end of her jokes would point out that “mischievous” was better suited. Anyone who crossed NAME's hidden spot would be surprised by a flurry of sand and laughter as she jumped out, teeth shining sharply against the sun. Some would love it, others not. Eventually, NAME’s antics were reported back to her parents and she was quickly scolded for bringing negative attention to the Water Clan. This wouldn’t stop NAME, however, and soon her life become a cyclical wheel of playfulness and reprimand. She would dread when the sun set and she had to return to the water. A few days before her birthday, NAME decide to make a change. This time, she did not return to the depths when the sun sank. Instead, she swam away, towards the Eastern border, where water and light wed. Terror met her instantly as she ran into the Emperor’s Wake and she found it hard to hide with such little sand. Scared and alone, NAME thought this would be the end of her life. There was no grin on her face at this thought. But, just when she was at her lowest, NAME was rescued by a dragon clan residing there. In fact, true to her nature, she startled their patrol when she jumped out at them, desperate for someone to help her. NAME immediately winced, ready for the scolding she had become used to… But they laughed. The patrolling Light dragons laughed with her, pulling her in closely as they guided her away from the Emperor and towards their own domain. NAME hasn’t stopped smiling since. Dragon Bio by Parrot |
