Biography
THE MAD ARCHITECT
GUILD OVERSEER | GRANDMASTER
GUILD OVERSEER | GRANDMASTER
DOMAIN:THE LABYRINTH
A sinister scholar and scientist infected with shivering eyes: the Guild's supreme head of affairs is a cold, calculating chessmaster. No pawn goes unused and no sacrifice is made without an ulterior motive. The end towards which he plays is concealed from all but his closest confidants, who enact every order with utmost loyalty, no matter how cruel or how wicked.
THE ARCHITECT is a dragon of many talents, all of which he has honed over the span of a very long life, which he has practically doubled in turn by his secret means of perpetual and productive insomnia. He is the maker and guardian of a great, cold, spiraling complex that lies beneath the Abiding Boneyard, a living tangle of meat and masonry that he has named The Labyrinth, of which the Guild Hall is but a small corner. No maps or floor plans exist; the method by which it was constructed is a profound and uneasy mystery.
Besides this tremendous and baffling feat, THE ARCHITECT is also an accomplished alchemist who has pushed the limits of his field, served well by his indifference towards the methods and means by which he achieves his peerless--if grisly--results. He has pioneered the procedures that enable many of the Guild's functions and services, including the factorial production of flesh golems, the militarization of the same, and an impressive myriad of potions, elixirs and poisons that are capable of every incredible effect, from regrowing lost limbs to bursting otherwise healthy hearts in the chests of their owners.
The contagion that plagues THE ARCHITECT works with rather than against his biology. The pustule-like eyes that have erupted from his flesh in scattered clusters provide him with a full three hundred and sixty degrees of vision.
