Biography

Mefin hadn't always looked as he does now. At one point in time, he'd been a rather proud dragon. Proud of his image, proud of his position, proud of himself. He doesn't remember the day that everything changed well, but he does remember the results. The way he'd awoken to screaming. His mate had been horrified when they'd woken to his appearance change. The way his mane coiled and writhed, eyes blinking open and shut in a nauseating twisting motion. The way his once sunset colored fur had hardened into an exoskeleton. The way Mefin had become hungry. He isn't sure what he hungers for anymore, just that he does. The change in his appearance has everyone treating him differently. It doesn't take long for him to be informed of the changes. His mate leaves. His new job as a Library Assistant, caring for a dragon who spends more time sleeping than he does actually caring for the books in the library. Mefin shelves books (new books, which keep appearing. How? Where are they coming from?). He reorganizes the shelves. Something twisting and aching deep in his chest eases off and settles as he paces the rough wooden floors. Smoke trails along his paws. |

Apparel Plan
When Mefin had been relocated to the library with Hesperos, he'd been aware of the truth. He hadn't been relocated because Hesperos desperately needed the assistance, but because the sight of him had unsettled the clan's hatchlings. With his many eyes and the way his skin crawls, hatchlings had frequently started to cry at the mere sight of him. Why then, would he want to stick around? He'd much rather stay far away from the other dragons. |

Gene Plan Mefin is a dragon of a writhing hunger. Something deep in his chest aches. His stomach growls no matter how often he eats. Why? What could he possibly be hungry for? The sleep-inducing smoke that drifts heavy throughout the library keeps the creature inside of him sleepy and satiated. For now. He fears that it's only temporary. That with the death of Hesperos, he won't be able to keep the clan safe from what he was doomed to become from the start. |
