Pagan

The oldest member of the clan, Pagan has a history as a warrior fighting in the service of many clans. In her time she has borne many children, most of whom have gone on to join the ranks of the Exalted. Pagan is extremely proud of them, but at the same time saddened that she can no longer see them. After leaving her most recent clan, which had grown to the point that she felt it no longer required her protection, Pagan came across Alexandria's clan. Realising that it was still in its early days, Pagan immediately offered her services as a clan warrior, vowing to protect the clan until the day it no longer needed her.

Many dragons often comment that Pagan seems more like a Guardian in behaviour than a Ridgeback, and she is frequently asked if she was Guardian-hatched. Pagan simply shakes her head and wryly comments that she must have been a Guardian in a past life.

Pagan is hesitant to take on a permanent mate, partially because of her tendency to travel between clans and partially because she is a little sceptical that such a relationship can endure for a lifetime. In her experience emotions are fleeting, and while the time spent together with a lover is sweet it is foolish to assume it will stay that way forever. She is currently mated to Nikandros out of a desire to produce another clutch, but likes him enough that she is seriously considering having at least several more by him.
