Biography

Quote:
“Hey hey, Wav! I've got an idea that's gonna make us RICH!”

82.png

Gender: Boy
Pronouns: He/him
Place of Origin: Droseran Domain, Pox Consulate, Viridian Labyrinth, Sornieth
Occupations Held:

Physicality:
Mavalvi had a stocky build. He kept on a good layer of fat and his limbs didn't gangle on and on. He had a square jaw and round cheeks. He wasn't the strongest dragon on Sornieth, but he couldn't be easily bowled over either; he had the practical strength that came from digging frequently, moving the dirt and rock back up to the surface. He couldn't fly a great deal, mostly just being able to puff out an extended leap, and certainly couldn't fly any extended distance. He wasn't particularly fast or agile on the ground either, but he had strong arms and hardy claws and that was about all he really needed his body to be for the sort of things he got up to.

Personality:
Mavalvi is an ambitious dragon, and tends to get carried away by his own schemes. He'll get convinced of an idea and that it's gonna work, drag people into it, pursue it, and inevitably much of the time find that it was never going to work. That doesn't dissuade him, though, and he's always got energy for the next plan.
He thinks pretty highly of himself, thinking he's a fair bit more savvy than he really is at all manner of things. He has a great deal of confidence and a willingness to profess to it. He's a good guy, but when he tries to lend a hand to others, he'll often end up just complicating things more in the end. Still, he figures, it's better to try than to not.

History:
Mavalvi was born in the Droseran Domain. He and Wavalvi hatched on the same day, and were the first dusthides in the clan. They both became greudences*, primarily raised by the hatchlingcare team of Periwinkle, Nina, and Luna. They dug themselves a little burrow lair at the nursery, and though it was shallow, it was their little cubby house and they loved it.
Mavalvi always wanted to make his name, and more importantly, his fortune. He saw a future with himself as a well off dragon with a sizeable hoard, a wife that adored him, and a set of kids who were ever eager and grateful to help out with whatever family business he could come up with. For now, though, he had to figure out what that would be, and goodness knows he was going to drag Wavalvi along into helping.
The pair were best friends, and none could really pick a time that happened, since it spanned from when they were as little as they could be. They did a lot of digging for treasure together, helping out Ammonite and Sorrel, Mavalvi always hoping he'd find his fortune. The older dragons would give him a couple coins from any treasure he dug up, the rest going straight to Emerald and the treasury, but Mavalvi was always excited with even just the fraction. He would want to 'invest' it right away, in something he thought he could sell for more or pass off as something else or just look impressive for owning and showing off.

Current Situation: Mavalvi grew up in the high tension period of the Domain after Azurite's lying, where all the adult dragons were on edge. He didn't think much on this as a kid, didn't figure out why the hatchlingcare team that largely took care of him would encourage him to play with Wavalvi far from the densest areas- they didn't want the silly boy getting himself into serious trouble with one of his playful schemes run too close to dragon he shouldn't mess with.

Character Interaction:
Wavalvi: Wavalvi and Mavalvi were lifelong best friends. They hatched together, were raised together, and got into all kinds of scrapes together, largely due to Mavalvi's ridiculous schemes. The maroon dusthide would get all sorts of ideas about how they could make their fortune or impress pretty dragons, and Wav would go along with it despite knowing better and often making better suggestions that were promptly ignored. Ultimately, despite the drag that dealing with the repercussions could be, it was just fun to do silly projects together. Wav certainly wouldn't say it was always worth it though, especially when it came with great embarrassment. And despite his generally being more levelheaded, Wav really did fall into believing Mav's plans had a chance to work, and being convinced to give them a try.
The pair were pretty much brothers to one another, and they'd have each other's backs through anything. They both knew it, depended on it, and expected it of each other.
Sorrel:
Ammonite:
Skiddle: He visited Skiddle's House of Hearts extensively, always looking to set himself and Wavalvi up with good mates. Despite never really having much luck there, he remained convinced of Skiddle's matchmaking abilities, him becoming her favourite regular.
