Biography

Quote:
In terms of appearance, Necroservi are almost identical to Necromancers, since surviving the second trial leaves them with the same blood thylacine markings. The only difference lies in the shade of their primary, which is generally darker with undertones of red and brown. They are most easily identified by a combination of their familiar, their Necromantic symbol, and the fact that they are almost always in the company of a higher ranked Necromancer. They can act as a scribe, messenger, companion, assistant, body servant, or menial servant as their Necromancer requires. In rare cases they become friends or mates of their Necromancer.
Quote:
Faded: Dragons with Faded Eyes are characterized by a calmness of mind and temperament that makes them ideal observers. While most dragons are caught up in a turmoil of wants, impulses, and desires, Faded-eyed dragons possess an ability to separate themselves from even the most intense emotions. In Necromancers, this ability sets them up to be ideal Councilors. In the variants, Faded-eyed dragons are considered discriminating and potentially hard to impress, unlikely to go along with a Necro's whims on their say-so alone. Interestingly, the characteristic sangfroid of the Faded-eyed has led to them running afoul of the same sorts of rumors that plague Dark-eyed Necromancers. Where Dark-eyed Necros are viewed as corrupted by the Shade, Faded-eyed Necros are said to be leached of their magical energies and personalities - husks in the making. Perhaps to combat such rumors, some Faded-eyed have developed the ability to identify traces of the Shade through sight alone, and can give warning when they see these tendrils trailing off fellow Necromancers...
Quote:
Fire-born are especially gifted in bestowing fever and delirium. The most powerful can cause blood to boil in the veins. Fire Necromancers are experts at burning pathogens from the body and searing away infection. Often their cures can be more painful than the original affliction.
