Biography

Sol
• apprentice alchemist
xxxTheme song: name here
Battle theme:Name here

Sol was born when the sun was at its darkest, and for the first few months of the dragon’s life, that seemed to be all there was to it. He was born at an odd time, with odd eyes, but that’s about it. He played with other hatchlings, annoyed the elders and listened to stories of the world outside of their icy lair.

It was nice, peaceful.

If only those days could last.

As time went on, Sol began to realize that his peers began to avoid him, stories coming to an end as soon as he sat down to listen and even his parents seemed… avoidant.

Sol didn’t understand why everyone had begun to slowly back away from him, and like any child would, he was desperate to try and win his family’s love back, doing chores without complaining, helping out the elders of the clan without having to be asked and listening closely to what adults told him.

It didn’t change anything for him- if anything the distance between Sol and his clanmates only grew, making the small tundra lonelier and lonelier.

Despite that, nothing could have prepared Sol for what would happen when his dad took him out for ‘a walk’.

The two tundras met up with a weird dragon. Sol didn’t like the stranger one bit- not with how creepy and weird he acted. The other dragon felt dangerous and twisted in a way, and the hatchling hoped that his father would just leave soon.

He wasn’t prepared to be shoved forward, with his dad essentially telling the creepy stranger to ‘take it off of his hands’.

Sol had been confused, but when his father had turned to leave Sol somehow couldn’t follow- as if he was restrained. Confused and terrified, the young tundra called out for his dad, asking him to wait.

The older dragon didn’t, which caused Sol’s confusion to melt away, leaving sheer terror as he realized what had just happened.

Sol’s cries grew more desperate, crying out for his father to come back and take him home, apologizing for anything he may have done wrong and promising to never do it again; to be a good hatchling.

No matter how much Sol cried and screamed, his father didn’t even turn around to look at him, vanishing past a distant mound of snow.

Which would be the last Sol ever saw of his father.

Sol cried in the snow for what felt like hours, heartbroken and so very scared of what was going to happen next- that creepy dragon was still there.

Apparently, Sol was going to go to a new home- a supposed ‘better’ one. The fact that the hatchling just wanted to return to his old home didn’t phase the other dragon, who just began to head in the opposite direction as Sol’s father had gone.

Tired of all the crying he had done, and now fully aware that his family didn’t want him anymore, Sol followed, silently crying all the way to his new home.

The new clan was…. weird, and all wrong. The dragons all seemed like they didn’t really want to be there, and didn’t really know each other. The creepy dragon patted Sol on the head and simply told the young tundra to ‘play nice and ask Cawfee about teaching you’, before leaving him in the middle of this strange clan.

…This… didn’t feel like a clan at all… it barely felt like a gathering of dragons with how everyone seemed so… uneasy.

Sure they were polite to Sol and didnt act mean, but it was obvious they were just being nice- they didn’t love him or even really cared about the young dragon.

Still, Sol did his best to earn the love and affection of his new clanmates, what other choice did he have? He wasn’t welcome at home, and this is all he had now.

But…. the young dragon didn’t understand why everyone was here.

If Applecrisp missed his old job and boss so much, why didn’t he just go back to them?
If Roland wanted to be with his brother so badly, why didn’t he just join him in his new clan?
Why didn’t Cawfee leave, when she was clearly unhappy here?

They were all adults- big dragons that could go out on their own unlike Sol, so why did they stay here?

The ‘creepy dragon’ who led Sol towards his new home. After the initial arrival and a few words with Cawfee, Sol basically never saw him again. He’s probably still around, but it’s weird that he’s not really present in this clan, which he's supposed to be the leader of.

A dragon Sol kind of looks up to. It's clear Roland has some experience traveling, but Sol can't understand why the undertide is chosing to stay here, when he clearly doesn't want to be in this clan at all, and is afraid of something...evil.
It just doesn't make sense....

Sol's teacher, though Cawfee isn't very good at teaching... It's like she doesn't actually have any experience with alchemy.
