Once upon a time, a Light dragon and an Arcane dragon were hopelessly in love. One day, they decided they wanted children. They together made a nest, using knowledge of nest building from their respective flights. This resulted in a nest made of combined magics, two eggs were laid in this nest, the combined elements resulted in one egg turning Arcane and one egg turning Light.

From the nest were born Dreadwing and Skyquake, and while as different in personality as could possibly be, you could find no siblings closer.

This is Skyquake’s side of the story.

Skyquake was born with a natural fighting spirit, even as a hatchling he would play fight with other hatchlings of the clan, he would also try and play fight with Dreadwing, but this never worked out well as Dreadwing would be disinterested and not put up a good effort.

Skyquake didn’t pay mind to it much, and let his sister continue her studies while he chose a different path. He dreamed of being one of the most acclaimed warriors of all time. He was saddened when he heard his sister dreamed of being exalted, to abandon the warrior’s path.

Though, he didn’t want to seem selfish, he still asked her, “You wanna leave me?” and it successfully changed Dreadwing’s mind.

He was overjoyed when Dreadwing decided to train as a warrior beside him, they would battle together and Skyquake would always come out on top. Dreadwing was never dismayed at this, as what she lacked in brute force she made up in strategy.

It was years later that the siblings were supposed to go through the retirement ceremony due to age. Dreadwing readily gave up her warrior’s armor, but Skyquake wasn’t ready to give up his warrior title just yet.

He talked it over with Dreadwing the night before the ceremony, and told her his plans to fly to the Scarred Wasteland, where he would hone his warrior skills in a battle against the elements.

Dreadwing was wary of his decision, but she too shared her plan of retiring to the Starfall Isles when the retirement ceremony was through.

Skyquake snuck out of the lair the night before the ceremony, taking only a satchel full of food and essentials before setting out on his quest.

Skyquake would start his mission in the Wandering Contagion, and would sometimes stray into the Boneyard.

These years of his life are...blurry, though he hates to admit it. The unaccommodating environment wore hard on him, and he would fail in proving he was a worthy warrior to strike out the Wasteland on his own.

He would’ve died had it not been for Dreadwing finding him and taking him to an alchemist.

Eventually, he, his sister, and the alchemist would meet Soundwave, who would become their clan leader.

Now, Skyquake lives out his days as a warrior for clan For the Buzzards, though his sister’s continuing pleas for him to retire seem to never penetrate his skull.
