age ✦ unknown (300s) occupation ✦ matriarch, holder of the final map alignment ✦ lawful neutral vibes ✦ something churning below the water Talia Amberfield is quite possibly one of the oldest fathoms in the Middle Western Seas, though few other extant pods venture close enough to the territory of the Amberfields for anyone to swap any notes. Those who do enter the pod's circulation along the Line of the Sun, however, are usually not there to find out how old the Amberfield matriarch is - they're in search of the Map. Talia's position as keeper of the Final Map was a point of contention from the very beginning, even before the Southpoint Court disbanded and the Map became...well, final. Other members of the Court believed she was unfit to hold the Map due to her shy, silent nature, and many ambassadors from the Eastern Seas believed she was simply unfit to be appointed a position designed for a natural diplomat. A large reason for the Amberfields' relocation to Dunn Canyon after the opening of the World's Eye was the strength of the New Current. The violent tow, dark waters, and unpredictable geography make it a nightmare for the amateur navigator, but a dream for anyone trying to operate undetected.
