Born into the clan, he loved playing tricks while using the shadows to hide himself and then jumping out to scare passerby's. He loved using shadow magic when his parents weren't around as he would get harshly reprimanded. HIs mother, born in the water flight, had taught him how to fish for both himself and his clan which later became his profession.

A natural swimmer and hunter, Poseidon spends much of his time in lakes, ponds, and sometimes Water's territory. He's brash, blunt, rude, and has a horrible fondness of swearing but will dial it down around the younger dragons. He has a real knack for navigation which is especially helpful during massive storms. Poseidon prefers to go hunting with his Maren familiar or a fishing party comprised of dragons from his clan or friendly dragons from other clans. He is one of the last few elder members as well as part of the elder counsel when he actually bothers to show up. Due to his rude tendencies, most dragons don't typically hang around him for longer than they have to, but Toha swings around the docks to try and catch up on the things he missed during his absence. Riptide also hangs around him from time to time, in hopes of hearing the older dragon's tales.
