Received by the clan leader once of age. It was the shining gold on top of her already radiant jewelsl.

Pros: While it helped accentuate her more, often this goes under appreciated when dragons avoid her. Might be the smell of death though.

Cons: None major ones, beyond the occasional itchyness under the hard gilded lining or stones.




History

It's not always easy to be born for a grim profession. But, when your parents already were long time Bonecarvers and Gravekeepers, whats one more to help them out? Death was always around Dune Moss from an early age, but not in a threatening way. It was the ways her mother would dry and use fine flowers to honor the dead and built their resting site. It was how her father took some of the bones of the deceased, sometimes more if the family willed so, and made from them keepsakes and memorials to forever remember them by to give back to their loved ones. But it also was how she would snap after the insects and mold trying to harm the dead and eat them like her favorite meals. She didnt get what was off putting about it.

However, it did cause her to tend to stay alone for some time, it wasnt easy making friends. But she found solace in the warriors, who knew death as well as her family, and under them an Obelisk named Rock Claw. Known for the near death his jewel blood gift had almost caused, he was renowned and respected, but to her surprise, as well as delight, he took time to get to know her better whenever they would find it.

It was fun, it was nice, and as much of a warrior as he was, she also chuckled and laughed at how he couldn't seemingly understand what made them different.

Her a thin like a skeleton guide of the dead, and him, a warrior almost three times her size, who still would try and see if he could decorate a piece of dried wood like she could the engrave the skull of a dragon. He often broke the wood.

When he switched to become a mediator, she was supportive and happy they could spend more time together, but it was roughly at the same time her parents passed, leaving her the most knowledgable Bonecarver around. She took the role quite seriously, making sure none of their lives could ever be forgotten, but it left her often working alone into the quiet nights. At least at first, until a young Songstone started tumbling around her art supplies for the decorations. A curious hatchling, and while not acquainted with the concept of death, nor did she wish him to be, Dune Moss would gladly amuse the little one by showing him the tools of art. For even in a job as grim as hers at times, the wide array of colors would bring a smile to her face with the stories they could paint.
